Adorers NeededThe St. Andrew Christian Meditation Group meets in The Mary Room each Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. This ancient form of silent, imageless prayer was taught by St. John Cassian. Meditation, also known as contemplative prayer, seeks God in the silence and stillness beyond word and thought. A Benedictine monk, John Main (1926-1982) has rediscovered this ancient prayer tradition for contemporary men and women. Today there are over 800 Christian Mediation Groups meeting weekly around the world. Our one-hour meeting includes a short, taped talk on meditation by Father John Main, 25 minutes of silent mediation, followed by a question period or sharing. All are welcome!
The Helping Hands Ministry at St. Andrew has been connecting parish volunteers with the needs of our parishioners this past year.
We have shared rides to Mass, accompanied a member to cataract surgery, raked leaves, cleaned out a small garden for winter weather, driven to medical appointments, assisted with packing for a move, shared friendly phone calls, shared rides to the grocery store, and more.
We need many hands to help our neighbors in need - and volunteers only serve when they are available. Want to Volunteer? Call the office to learn more!
St. Andrew School is currently seeking teachers and support staff for the school. See job descriptions, learn more & apply here. Please contact Deacon Doug with any questions or inquiries.
